They lead those who “approach them to respond to their deeper
thirst and hunger, by personal direction, guidance, and series
of instructions, days of retreats, long and short courses and
serious research seminars.
-
Simultaneously they engage themselves in abundant practice of
higher levels of prayer and contemplative mysticism in a context
of silence, inner stillness and profound God encounter”.
-
The start of programs was made by conducting weekly retreats,
short courses and lectures on yoga and allied subjects oriented
mainly to the educated audience and consecrated persons. These
courses gave wide publicity to the unique natural beauty of this
place that can usher a person to interior life spontaneously.
Soon there was good response from various religious
congregations for organizing their Chapters and month long
courses. In 2007 Ryshivana was the cynosure of the Carmelite
world when it was chosen to accommodate and host the
international Carmelite mission congress. In April 2021 all the
catholic bishops in Karnataka chose this place for their annual
retreat.
