The renewal centre,
Ryshivana was renewed and put forth a new look with the painting and
renovation. December 6 marked a meaningful celebration to all of us.
Ryshivana which lies in the banks of river Nethravathi which in turn
gives ‘nethra’ – sight and insight to the people across India and
outside is dedicated under the patronage of Carmelite saint St. Mary
of Jesus Crucified who is popularly known as Mariam Baouardy. The
portrait of the same saint was blessed and installed by Rt. Rev.
Aloysius P. D’Souza, Bishop of Mangalore. Then the house was blessed
by the bishop. As the colors of the day were turning into crimson
red there was Eucharistic celebration. In which we raised our hearts
in gratitude to Almighty for the 20 years of episcopate, 50 years of
priestly life and 75 years of life of our beloved Bishop. This
occasion was graced by Rev Fr. Augustine Mendonsa, a well known
canonist. After the Eucharistic celebration we had few moments of
get together and felicitation to Bishop.
